In the home-ec junior cert how do you answer the question on comparing the food value of two labels
Heres what i do-
Go through 4-5 nutrients/minerals on the label and for each
State if it is a good or bad source of the nutrient
State the ingredient(s) which are the source of it(eg. the butter is a source of fat)
The functions of the nutrient(eg. protein helps cells grow)

If it has a lot of it like in 2014 hl q.1 , Wholemeal bread is a very good source of carbohydrate (40.3g)
