Well, lucky for you, languages are definitely my thing! My Irish christmas test for example was 75% with full marks on studied poetry, grammar, nearly full marks on the story (44/50), nearly full marks on the reading comprehension but I was too lazy on the prose comprehension which I lost marks on. I got 19/30 on the letter, this was because we never did this letter before (and none of the other options either on the paper) and thus, I did a very random middle paragraph. My choice was that I was a person who bought a music album and you are writing to your friend about it of how good it is. I wrote it about myself haha - I'm a musician and I have 2 albums completed. See these phrases I wrote on the letter hahaha

Scríobh sé an uimhir singil amháin "Never Give Up" - He wrote the number one single "Never Give Up"

Seinneann sé an giotár agus an pianó go maith - He plays the guitar and piano very good

Sryan Bruen is ainm dó - His name is Sryan Bruen

^ I crack myself up haha

Anyways that was just to proof that you can ask me for help anytime on languages, especially Irish AND French (though I have not been too good at French as I used to have been when I got results such as 92-95% on tests, now I get 59-85%). I have a method that can help you learn phrases off by heart (and you will always remember them!!!) and your sample answers on things such as the studied prose or poem. Thanks to this, I literally know them like the back of my head. You can see in another thread named "letters and stories" of an example of one I gave to a girl named Hannah.

Rinne mé staidéar ar an dán ‘Teilifís’ le Gabriel Rosenstock. Is dán dea-scríofa é a bhaineann le grá/samhlaíocht/ páiste óg/ clann

Sa dán seo, feicimid fear ina chodladh oíche amháin. Dúisíonn a iníon beag é i lár na hoíche agus ní mó ná sásta a bhí sé faoi

‘ar a cúig a chlog ar maidin theastaigh an teilifís uaithi’

Ach cé nach bhfuil sé sásta a bheith éirithe chomh luath ar maidin, cad is féidir leis a dhéanamh?

‘an féidir argóint le beainín dhá bhliain go leith?’

Chuaigh siad síos go dtí an seomra suí agus chuir sé an teilifís ar siúl di. Gan dabht, ní raibh aon rud ar siúl i lár na hoíche agus bhí an file an-sásta mar bheadh orthu dul ar ais chun na leapa

‘stánamar le hiontas ar an scáileán bán’

Ach ní raibh an iníon sásta leis seo. Bhain an cailín óg úsáid as a samhlaíocht agus chonaic sí ainmhithe ar an scáileáin ‘tríd an sneachta’

Bhí iontas ar an athair mar ní raibh seisean ábalta an ulchabhán nó an sioraf a fheiscint

D’fhan an t-athair léi fad is a d’fhéach sí ar na rudaí iontach seo nach raibh ann. Is léir ón méid seo go raibh grá ag an athair dá iníon. Is fíor go mbaineann an dán seo le grá/samhlaíocht/ páiste óg/ clann
