alternative proof for pythagoras theorem acceptable?
by jan_n Junior Cert Mathematics — 11/06/16 2

my maths teacher gave us a really long and complicated proof for theorem 14 pythagoras theorem, but i found a much simpler version in my revisewise. Would I still be awarded full marks if i were to use that method of proving the theorem if it were to come up on paper 2?

id say that would be grand as long as the final line in the proof is the same as your teachers

If its in revise wise, they'd have to accept it because there would be other students using it since revise wise is popular :)
