Rite and Ritual

What is the difference between a rite and a ritual? Also what is one example of each in Che Christianity and Islam?

@Cormac365, 1. Don't mind them. 2. as far as i can understand, a rite is a formal religious ceremony such as baptism in Christianity or Circumcision in Islam, a ritual is "prescribed method" for performing a religious ceremony. So basically something special that's done at religious ceremonies such as putting the oil on the forehead in baptism or saying a special prayer before circumcision. Good luck in the exam lad.
