Forward Bias and Reverse Bias..... Whaaaat??? hamzamughees

    Hey guys...

I don't quite understand how the forward bias and reverse bias works, can someone PLEEEEEEAAAAAAASE explain it to me. Thank you so much if you do.

forward bias means the positive terminal of the battery and the positive side of the diode are connected and the negative terminal of the battery is connected to the negative side of the diode so the circuit is complete and electricity will flow

reverse bias means the positive terminal of the battery is connected to do the negative side of the diode and the negative terminal of the battery is connected to the positive side of the diode so the circuit isn't complete and electricity doesn't flow

forward bias: +to+ and -to_ (bulb lights)

reverse bias: +to- (bulb doesn't light)

Current is the flow from positive ( large line on battery in circuit ) to negative ( small line ) . If the arrow on the diode is pointing towards the negative ( forward bias ) I.e. It is going in the same direction as current then the current will flow and this means it is in Forward bias . If the diode points the opposite way it doesn't allow current flow and therefore is in reverse bias . Hope that helps 😼
