i got 14m/s
Alex F — 16/06/16
I got 14m/s also
Elisha447 — 16/06/16
I got 14 too
HamedahSafi — 16/06/16
which experiment were u supposed to do for dissolved particles
SryanBruen — 16/06/16
I got 14 m/s and hard - as I always find Science so that's no surprise but Biology was grand and Physics was meh. Chemistry was my problem with the exam though. I didn't leave any big question blank though.
rwa1 — 16/06/16
distillation
rwa1 — 16/06/16
guys what was the element that had the same number of eleectrons as fluroine
Danielle1358 — 16/06/16
chlorine
rwa1 — 16/06/16
how?
SryanBruen — 16/06/16
I thought the question asked to name AN element that had the same number of electrons in the outer shell as Fluorine? I just put down Chloride like Danielle because it's part of the Halogens like Fluorine. And each column's elements have the same number of electrons in their outer shell like all Alkali metals have 1.

Guys can you explain how you got 14m/s? I got 80m/s ;/
Aoife_9776 — 16/06/16
100-44=56 m 4 Seconds 56/4 = 14 m/s
HistoryExams — 16/06/16
But that's finding acceleration not speed wouldn't it be all add all individual seconds then divide by four?
Aoife_9776 — 16/06/16
Nope it's finding speed because the 100-44 is the distance traveled in those 4 seconds Acceleration is the change in speed divided by time

Eh guys what did you put down to act as a control in the Reducing Sugars test?
SryanBruen — 16/06/16
I just said have a test tube with glucose and Benedict's solution but DO NOT heat it.
sophie544 — 16/06/16
For the fluorine one it said the same number in the outer shell so you just had to find one in the outer shell I got chlorine
heyooo — 16/06/16
Historyexams- I said to do the food test with a food without a reducing sugar é.g cheese.
heyooo — 16/06/16
For the flourine one j said bromine - but it's just all the halogens, in the periodic table.
gra_hutcheson — 16/06/16
14 m/s
rwa1 — 16/06/16
for the control just use benedicts solution with water
rwa1 — 16/06/16
control-benedicts solution with water
rwa1 — 16/06/16
guys what last 4 seconds did u do 17-20 or 16-20
rwa1 — 16/06/16
what order was it for the states of matter i know one was a gas what was two
EH458 — 16/06/16
The element that had the same number of electrons was chlorine, if you read the question carefully it said "in the outer shell", there are 7 electrons in the outer shell of flourine, there are also 7 in the outer shell or chlorine I drew out the Bohr structure of both on an extra sheet of paper I asked for for rough work
EH458 — 16/06/16
@rwa1 wasn't that just gas, liquid and solid?
EH458 — 16/06/16
Oh and I used 16-20 for the last 4 seconds
heyooo — 16/06/16
Yes- gas liquid and solid.
heyooo — 16/06/16
Also for the strawberry seed dispersal question, I didn't get it but I looked it up and the answer is animals disperse the seeds. How? Well, they eat the strawberries, then poop out the seeds. Yeah.
rwa1 — 17/06/16
hahah i just guesed animals , and maybe they go to the seed for pollen and then drop the seeds into the grass like a bee?
barcelona — 17/06/16
but it said to get the average is that not the range for the speed question?
rwa1 — 17/06/16
speed = d/t overall distane/overalltime to get the distance from the last 4 seconds u have to do 100-44
