Just wondering about the accepted answering of this question:
"A particle starts from rest, constant acceleration
It travels 39m in the 7th second. What distance does it travel in the 10th second"
The marking scheme allows s7 - s6 to equal 39
=> s7 - s6 = 1/2(a)(49) -1/2(a)(36)
and solves for a = 6
I get the velocity of the particle AFTER 6 seconds in terms of a and sub into s = ut + 1/2at^2.
Both solutions work, would both be accepted???
