Additional info penalty?
by Ireland1997 Leaving Cert Mathematics — 11/06/16 1

So in the paper, if i simplify a fraction or whatever, when I'm not requested to, will I be penalized? Or say for instance if I use the wrong equation formula (eg - Y-Y1=M(X-X1) OR Y=MX+C). Will any attempt marks be given? I suppose it all depends on what marking scheme they use. Thanks!

depends if they're really strict on the marking scheme but as long as you have the right answer, you should be grand. as for the equations, they're the exact same thing just in different format so they can't penalise you for that.
