The spheres like a convex mirror, the middle is the centre of curvature and it acts ad the diameter ie. 20cm so the focal length which is the radius will be 10cm and work your way with that and the formula :)

They gave that the diameter = 20cm that means that the radius = 10 so the focal lenght is radius/2 = 5cm inside the mirror as it is convex so
f = 5cm
1/5 = 1/30 + 1/v
1/v = 1/5  1/30
1/v = 7/30
v = 30/7 (  because it's a virtual image )
