Podcast: Tips from a State Examiner on The Béaltriail

By Nessa Dinneen - 1 minute read

To help us break down the Béaltriail and give their tips as someone on the other side of that table, we invited Clíona Ní Dhálaigh, a Higher Irish teacher and state examiner, onto the Studyclix Podcast.

Many students right now are preparing for their Irish Oral exam which normally take place in schools between March and April.

Year after year, students will agree that the Irish Oral Exam or The Béaltriail is one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the entire Leaving Cert.

As someone with lots of experience preparing students for the Béaltriail and examining it herself, she gives her tips on things like how to prepare, what things examiners like to hear, and how to avoid those awful nerves.
