Taking up applied maths after Christmas in 5th year.

I am doing higher maths and phsyics currentl in 5th year and am really enjoying them both. I would like to take up applied maths instead of Geography, which I am not enjoying, it would be once a week in a different school. Would you reccomend? Am I too late starting now? Please help me out!

You a far too late to start if I'm being honest. I have 3 one hour classes a week plus I do physics and it's still very difficult and takes up the majority of my time. And your thinking of doing one class a week while being a couple of months behind would be extremely difficult.

I DEFINITELY say start. I only started the HL course in Dec of 5th Year after prepping with OL before that. Technically it's a 1 year course and I only do it twice a week in school.

Thanks so much, how would you have approached it at ordinary level?

If you are willing to put in the work, then I would say to do it. Once a week won't be enough to get a high grade if you dont spend tie at home putting your own work in. Also (I am a 6th year and this is what my teacher told me) you will have to do a project which will be difficult to do, you would be the first year doing it.

It would take serious discipline, you'd have to be doing it yourself a lot. Doable though
