Biology Frustration
What are the best revsion books for biology (I'm in 6th Year). I've been doing exams papers but my teacher says thats pointless. I need to get a H1 in Biology but there is so much information to know and it's taking up alot of my time. What are effective ways of studying it?

Why does your teacher say that doing exam papers is pointless? They're questions that have been asked before - therefore quite useful to go over to see what they prioritise asking?
I don't think i agree with your teacher-my sister did only exam papers for Biology and got a H1 so if I were you i'd just keep going with exam papers
definetely do exam papers, questions are often repeated but worded differently
keep at the exam qs or have a look at leavingcertbio.net its really concise in terms of notes
Yeah I agree with everyone, but as well I have like a revison book thats like a summary basically of all of the chapters. Like its small but looking at it before a test is so handy. Its called 'Essentials Unfolded: LC Biology higher and ordinary levels' by Mona Murray. Hope this helps :)
there is no need for them. out of every subject biology is repeated the most. just do exam papers on a certain topic at a time.

exam papers are the best for biology,, i brought my grade up from a h3 to a h1 by just exam papers. the revision book i use for biology is the john cullen 2nd edition "lc biology: the complete study guide". it has a section for all the definitions, and explains what u need to know in detail. better than the edco ones imo
id say exam papers are the best way to go, if you did loads of questions on everym topic you'd be good to go i think
Exam papers are the best way to revise, but Biology Plus and Revise Wise are two other very good resources.

exam papers for sure but also Biology Extra is a really good revision book defo better than revise wise or less stress ones ! for sure

Leaving cert biology by john cullen is probably the biology study book
Exam papers are great for revision. The best revision book is the John Cullen one.
Oh my god please please ignore your teacher. Exam questions is the key to getting a H1 in Biology. Study each chapter and make flashcards as you do, then complete every question asked on the topic you covered as a way to test yourself.
