LC SUBJECTS!

Which one of these is the worst subject in your opinion? Accounting - Geography - Business - Biology I'm looking for a high amount of points but don't want to be overburned by the study load as well. What would people recommend?

i do all four subjects so hopefully i can help it depends . if we start with accounting i find it easy but you either find it easy or impossible , its one you get or don't get . if you get it i think its a great subject . homework will take you an hour a night but homework is also study. geography as people say its an easy H1, i think they say this because if you learn everything you can get high marks but you have alot of essays to learn but if your good at learning things off its for you . Business is easy as in the stuff is not hard to understand but its alot to learn off . you usually finish this course before the rest . biology , i like biology but i have always liked science subjects . it is a good bit of learning and answers have to be precise. did you do business or anything in the jc ? where you good at science ? . it all depends on your strengths tbh . if you want high points business can be kind of difficult to get high points in in the leaving cert as you can know all the information but its about structure . biology you could achieve a good grade in but i think the easier ones to achieve a

h1 In would be geography and accounting [ accounting is dependant on weather you get it or not ] . geography course work is worth 20 perecent . i would say accounting is the best option if you get it becuase its not a huge workload and very doable to achieve a H1 . 40 percent of people achieve between a H1- H3 in accounting . if you have any other questions you can ask me .

@aime121 I did well in both business and science but I feel more connected to Business but Ive heard and saw that the Biology questions are much much easier than business but in Business you can get more points for waffling is this true??? Also is it possible to learn all of biology till the end of 6th year cuz its hard i think business is a shorter course. I need to make a decision tommorrow and I'm still undecided between these subjects lol, thanks

you can and can't waffle in business like you have to have specific headings to get marks and only those headings will give you marks but if your stuck you can use your common sense to add a bit and get more marks . like the thing is with business your common sense might get you something whereas in biology you either right or wrong. if your more drawn to business maybe its for you , do you plan on doing the course in 1 year is it ? . like it has a lot of learning off in it but since you usual finish the course earlier than some you have more time to revise . i have always gotten H1 in tests so far but i don't think id get that in the lc and also think theres alot to revise still . i have an exam next week and i still have alot to revise to do . you have to be good with theory and be happy to sit down and learn it . it is useful for life aswell some parts. i feel like biology is nice because theres only really one answer i do feel like it would be easier to get a better grade in biology in the leaving cert cos you can know all the information in business inside out and upside down and still not

get a H1 becayse its about structure and stuff. it is said to be hard to get a good grade in business and not alot of people will but i don't know i haven't sat my business yet so i couldnt tell you. im sitting it this year or not idk hahaa. i just feel if you know your biology inside out your getting all the marks , for business thats not definete. Are you trying to complete a course in a year is it ? or do you have two years

biology chapters on repiration and photosynthesis are worth alot of marks . respiration was worth 15 percent of the paper one year . if i was doing biology in one year and wanted a good grade id would get notes from like yeats or another grind school off someone . its condensed down and you have exactly what to learn off to get full marks.

@aime121 Thanks so much for your expansive answers! I've decided I'll go for business now, so now the choice is between biology and geography but I feel biology can be easier if you just know the answers....

if your looking for as much points as possible maybe choose geography . couse work is easy and worth 20 percent and you just have to learn essays . If you know your essays off your good . i do prefer biology ,i think because i never actually liked geography in jc either i was just doing it for the points . The only reason i like geography is because its not hard to get a good grade in . i do feel biology might be slightly harder to get a good grade in but depends what your interested in . both are very achievable to get a high grade in ,so whichever one you choose doesn't matter as long as your interested in it and want to study it, thats all that matters. Thats kinda a deciding factor in how well you will do in a subject.

biology you just have to know whats important to learn . business is a good choice just stay on top of the theory you will thank yourself.
