letter writing

is it bad to go way over the 160 word count suggestion? like if you wrote triple that amount but was all accurate would you lose marks?

you wouldnt lose marks. My german teacher who is a native speaker says that the letter should be 2.5 pages long which is way more than 160 words.
No but if you are asked for lets say 4 lines. You write 4 lines and you get them grammatically correct, you woul get full marks for the grammar. But if you had 8 lines instead of the 4 they asked, and your extra 4 lines had grammar mistakes and spelling mistakes, then they will dock you down on the grammar marks. It is better to have four really good lines with no mistakes then 8 lines that have mistakes.
