Doing history alone?

hi! so basically my 5th year subject choices came, and i got DCG instead of history (along with chem, bio and french) and im thinking about doing history kind of by myself (get the books, get a few grinds, work on it during what would be the DCG time slot). would really appreciate any help or opinions! thanks so much!

anything you do learn isn't guranteed to come up in an ideal question. It's very course heavy but also quite analytical when answering questions. It just isn't as black and white in terms of learning about the past. I don't want to tell you not to do it but you will have to put a lot of time into it and I found my time needed to be more focussed on other things

if your really intrested in history and you kinda have a passion for it, then ye go ahead, but if not, man its a long and tedious course, especially to do by yourself. stuff like essay writing might be very hard to learn by yourself but if you think you can cope with it then ye go ahead
