Should I drop trig?

Hi Guys, I'm aiming for a H1/H2 in honours maths and I was wondering do you think it would be wise to drop trig? I know it's a huge topic but I missed a lot of it when it was being taight to us in class so i haven't really got a proper grasp on it and would have to reteach it to myself anyway which would be time consuming.

It could come up in other topics like complex numbers, for example but with the choice on the paper now you could get away with it I think.

definitely not, drop small topics like financial maths etc but not trig. If you want just look over it and familiarise yourself with it just to have it as a back up thats fine but trig is the foundation for a lot of paper 2 and some paper 1 and not knowing it would make you lose marks in those questions too.

Not reccommended you drop trig Even with the extra choice, it's a big topic and you'll probably need it

What are the key topics in trig that i shoudl revise?

Definitely do trig, in particular the unit circle, and the basics behind sin cos and tan. Trig can be used to solve a lot of different topics I cannot stress enough how you shouldn't drop it, I am a maths teacher.

Trig is so fundamental, sucks that you missed it but do not drop it. There is so much trig hidden in seemingly irrelevant past questions, catch up on it and drop something that doesn't intersect with so many parts of the course. ie proofs, financial, etc
