... Marche au Supplice ???

Hey :) does anybody know what I actually need to know in regards to Berlioz, Marche au Supplice... trying to revise it and I don't even know where to start!!! Do I need to be able to write out phrases and if so, what ones? Also, what kind of theory stuff do I need to know?

Im just going to learn the basics like the time signiture, key, form, ect. then instrumental and compostitional techniques and then i'd just say if you can listen to it and be able to tell what section is what you should be ok

The important thing is to listen to each section and carefully follow your analysis notes. Complete all past exam papers and figure out what is being asked for the works- features of theme, features of accompaniment, tonality, texture. Always make sure to use musical keywords to describe your answers for example if asked about the texture dont give a generic description relate it to what is happening in the music.
