In the first picture, Seán is seen sleeping.

Seán makes a big effort to escape the house but the front door is stuck due to the water.

Seán leans out of the windowsill and starts to shout at the top of his voice. He is trying to bring attention to himself.

He is lucky because two teenagers hear him shouting. They are sitting on a wall in front of Seán’s house.

As soon as they reach Seán, the girl, Caitríona, calls the emergency services. She knows Sean's home address.

Before long, the firemen arrive to help. They save Seán and he escapes through the window with some assistance from them. No man is an island, as they say!

The emergency unit is wearing water-proof clothing but Seán, Daire and Caitríona are soaked and frozen by the cold.

The water level is rising. It is the worst flood in Seán’s town in recent years.

I bhfaiteadh na súl, tá Seán slán sábháilte agus ar ais sa leaba. Faraor, ní mór dó oíche a chaitheamh san ospidéal. Tá súil aige go dtiocfaidh biseach air go luath.
In the blink of an eye, Seán is safe and sound and back in bed. Unfortunately, he has to spend a night in hospital but he is hoping to recover soon.

Fanann Caitríona agus Daire i dteannta Sheáin an t-am ar fad. Tá faoiseamh orthu go bhfuil sé go breá. Tá meangadh gáire orthu uilig.
Caitríona and Daire stay with Seán the whole time. They are relieved that he is okay. They are all smiling.

Gabhann Seán míle buíochas leo agus deir sé leo gur déagóirí an-chróga iad. 
Seán thanks them and tells them that they are very brave teenagers.
