Pictiúr 1
Sa phictiúr seo, tá Seán, Máire agus Eoin ag breathnú ar fhógra do dhíospóireacht ghaeilge a bheidh ar siúl ar scoil go luath.
Seán, Máire and Eoin are looking at an ad for an Irish debate which will be held soon at school.
Dar leis an bhfógra, tá duaiseanna maithe le buachan agus socraíonn an triúr acu foireann a chur le chéile agus páirt a ghlacadh sa díospóireacht.
According to the ad, there are good prizes to be won and the three of them decide to put a team together and take part in the debate.
Pictiúr 2
Sa phictiúr seo, tá an diospóireacht faoi lán seoil.
The debate is in full swing.
Feicimid Scoil Mhuire ag tabhairt aghaidh ar Scoil Pheadair agus tá slua maith i láthair ag tabhairt tacaíochta don dá fhoireann.
We see Scoil Mhuire facing Scoil Pheadair and there’s a good crowd in attendance supporting the two teams.
Pictiúr 3
Sa phictiúr seo, tá Seán i mbun díospóireachta agus is é an rún atá á phlé aige ná “Níl aon leigheas i ndán don tír seo”.
Séan is debating and the motion he’s discussing is that “The country is not going to get better”.
Tá Seán ag labhairt ar son an rúin agus is léir go bhfuil na moltóirí ag éisteacht go géar lena chuid argóintí.
Seán is speaking in favour of the motion and it’s clear that the adjudicators are listening carefully to his arguments.
Pictiúr 4
Tar éis an-chuid machnaimh, fógraíonn an príomhmholtóir go bhfuil an díospóireacht buaite ag Scoil Pheadair.
After much deliberations, the head judge announces that Scoil Pheadair have won the debate.
Déanann sé comhghairdeas leis an bhfoireann agus tá gliondar an domhain orthu, ní call a rá.
He congratulates the team and they’re thrilled, it goes without saying.
Pictiúr 5
Sa phictiúr seo, bronntar corn chomh maith le seic dhá mhíle euro ar fhoireann Scoil Pheadair.
Scoil Pheadair is presented with a trophy and a cheque for 2,000 euro.
Is follas go bhfuil siad iontach bródúil astu féin agus an-sásta leis an duais mhór seo.
It’s obvious that they’re really proud of themselves and very happy with the big prize.
Pictiúr 6
Sa phictiúr seo, téann an triúr daltaí amach go bialann ghalánta chun an bua a cheiliúradh. Bíonn béile deas acu.
The three students go out to a fancy restaurant to celebrate the win. They have a nice meal.

We see that Seán still has the trophy in his hand.
Tá a múinteoir ina dteannta agus tá an chuma orthu go bhfuil siad iontach sásta leo féin.
Their teacher is with them and they look like they’re very happy with themselves.
