Pictiúr 1

I bpictiúr a haon feicimid Seán agus Máire os comhair an ríomhaire.

In picture one we see Seán and Máire in front of the computer.

Dar leis an suíomh gréasáin, beidh an banna ceoil is fearr leo ag seinm go luath i Staid Aviva i mBaile Átha Cliath.

According to the website, their favourite band will be playing soon in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Toisc nach gcosnaíonn na ticéid ach caoga euro, socraíonn siad láithreach dul ann.

As the tickets only cost 50 euro, they immediately decide to go.

Chun íoc as na ticéid, ní mór dóibh cárta creidmheasa a úsáid.

In order to pay for the tickets, they have to use a credit card.

Cuimhníonn Seán go bhfuil cárta a n-athar fágtha ar an matal aige agus ar ámharaí an tsaoil, tá an uimhir ar eolas ag Máire!

Seán remembers that Dad’s card is on the mantelpiece and as luck would have it, Máire knows the number!

Pictiúr 2

Téann siad sa seans agus ceannaíonn Séan na ticéid, i ngan fhios dá athair.

They take a chance and Seán buys the tickets without his father’s knowledge.

Céad euro ar an iomlán atá le híoc acu.

They have to pay 100 euros in total.

Déarfainn nach mbeidh athair na beirte róthógtha leis seo!

I would say that the pair's Dad won’t be too impressed with this!

Pictiúr 3

Tá an lá mór tagtha agus feicimid Séan agus Máire ag baint taitnimh as an gceol iontach ann.

The big day has arrived and we see Seán and Máire enjoying the wonderful music.

Tá atmaisféar leictreach le brath agus tá an staid ag cur thar maoil leis an lucht leanúna.

There’s an electric atmosphere and the stadium is overflowing with fans.

Buaileann siad le roinnt cairde ann agus bíonn an-oíche go deo acu!

They meet a couple of friends there and they really have a fantastic night!

Pictiúr 4

Sa phictiúr seo, feicimid athair na beirte ag iniúchadh a bhille Visa.

In this picture, we see the pair's Dad studying his Visa bill.

Baintear geit uafásach as nuair a thugann sé céad euro sa bhreis ar an mbille faoi deara.

He gets a terrible fright when he notices an extra 100 euro on it.

Gan dabht, tá mearbhall air agus ní thuigeann sé céard a tharla.

Without a doubt, he’s confused and doesn’t understand what happened.

Pictiúr 5

Gan mhoill, téann athair na beirte chun an scéal a phlé lena pháistí.

Without delay, the pair's Dad goes to discuss the matter with his children.

Tá sé ar thóir na fírinne, is léir.

He is in pursuit of the truth, clearly.

Admhaíonn Seán agus Máire gur bhain siad úsáid as an gcárta chun íoc as na ticéid agus tá uafás ar na tuistí lena n-iompar.

Seán and Máire admit that they used the card to pay for the tickets and their parents are disgusted with their behaviour.

Gabhann an bheirt acu a leithscéal leo ach is léir go bhfuil díomá an domhain ar a dtuistí.

The two apologise but it’s clear that their parents are hugely disappointed.

Pictiúr 6

Mar chúiteamh, ní mór do Sheán agus do Mháire go leor dualgas tí a dhéanamh.

As compensation, Seán and Márie have to do a lot of household chores.

Tá an folúsghlanadh á dhéanamh ag Máire agus tá Seán ag glanadh na bhfuinneog.

Máire is hoovering and Seán is cleaning the windows.

Tá a dtuistí ag coimeád súil ghéar orthu!

Their parents are keeping a close eye on them.

Ní call a rá go bhfuil a gceacht foghlamtha acu!

It goes without saying that they have learned their lesson!
